Decorating our new home July 7, 2008
I want to say a little about my LOVE for decorating my home. I have always loved to make homemade items(pillows, quilts, napkins, etc) to make our home nice and cozy. Well I am about to have fun once again, because we have a new home to decorate….I am planning on making a new slipcover for my couch and I’ve never done that before so hopefully it will work out. I haven’t found the right fabric yet…so I’ll be on the look out for some over the next few weeks. The picture to the right is of our house we are moving out of. I am going to miss it…but not miss cleaning this big house. I’m glad to be moving into a smaller place. I will post pictures soon of our new place.
”Mistreatments” are on my list for my windows too…make sure to check out The Nester’s beautiful site at www.nestingplacenc.blogspot.com to see her decorating ideas ! I am in LOVE with her “mistreatments” for her windows…. I’m excited to use some of her ideas in my new home…I have windows just waiting for me to “mistreat” them!
I love sharing other blogs that inspire me, so here’s another one to check out… Kimba at A Soft Place To Land has some FABULOUS repurposed furniture ideas…. gotta love it! I am totally going to buy some spray paint soon to redo some of our wooden furniture! Thanks Kimba for the beautiful ideas!

Looks like we’ll be moving soon…. June 11, 2008
Today we found out that we will be moving soon. I can’t wait to get settled into a smaller place, and get things organized and my sewing room set up. I guess my plans to get some bags done soon will have to hold off a little longer. We’ve been looking at houses to rent…and may have found the right one… hopefully the land owner will get back with us soon.
Well on another note… I had found out we were expecting baby #6 the end of April…. well we found out this past Thursday that our baby had died, and so I am waiting to go thru that whole process. 
( I’ve been very sad, and our girls are too….we had all hoped to have a little boy in the house…but I guess it just wasn’t meant to be. I know God has all things in His control, so I will trust that he knows what is best for us. I am very thankful for the 5 girls He has blessed us with. Life wouldn’t be the same without them! )
Oh, I do have some exciting news though… my neice had her first baby girl, after 2 sons, and we are thrilled! She is a precious little angel. I can’t believe how tiny she is….you forget how small babies can be until they get here and you hold them. It’s been a long time since we’ve had a baby girl in the family to snuggle and love on. ) Congrats !!
Wow It’s Been A While….. June 10, 2008
Okay, I’ve totally been out of the loop for a few months…. I had an event the first weekend in May, and then I have done NOTHING since then. I guess I needed a break, I am planning on getting busy and making somemore bags to put up on my Etsy site.
I’ve decided not to do anymore custom orders for a while, until things are less hectic around here. With 3 of my 5 girls playing softball 2 times a week, and my hubby playing 2 nights a week… we are just gone all the time. I will put an update on my Etsy site, once I do start taking custom orders again.
I hope you are all enjoying your summer so far… we are having a blast here!

Wow, what a great weekend! Lot’s of beautiful snow around in southeast Missouri! I love the snow! I even had to taste a little this morning! hehee. I haven’t tasted snow since I was a kid! I forgot how fresh it tasted.
